The “He Will Not Divide Us” Project

What is the “He Will Not Divide Us” Project?

He Will No Divide Us is a political artistic project run by Shia Labeouf. It’s purpose was to reaffirm that President Trump will not divide the American people. It has been a large target for Kekistanis, though mostly out of humour than outrage.

Initially, the project was simply a camera outside of a museum, with the phrase “He Will Not Divide Us” printed on the wall the camera was mounted onto. After heavy trolling from Kekistanis and trolls alike, alongside the arrest of Shia Labeouf, the project moved to Albuquerque. However, this second location was quickly shuttered due to safety concerns after gunshots were heard nearby.

The third incarnation of this project showed a “He Will Not Divide Us” flag, backed by the blue sky. Kekistanis and trolls quickly utilised astrology, contrails, flight patterns, day/night cycles as well as frog species identification. The latter was due to the fact that croaking could be heard from the livestream. In under 2 days, the Kekistani people tracked down the flag’s location, captured the flag and replaced it with a “Make America Great Again” hat, as well as a shirt emblazoned with a Pepe. The shirt and hat were later removed, and the project relocated again.

The fourth incarnation of the project was on the roof of the Foundation for Art and Creative Technology building in Liverpool, as stated clearly on the site. In under 24 hours, this location was shuttered as someone had got onto the roof to try to capture the flag. However, they could not cut the ties holding the flag in place, and fled the scene as police arrived at the building. The project was again shut down due to safety concerns.

The fifth and current incarnation of the project was simply a flag mounted onto a white wall. Using gleams of light reflected off of buses outside into the room, the flag was located within a day. Currently, the flag is still hung inside 13 Belsize Square in London. To capture the flag would entail trespass and/or breaking and entering, both illegal actions that could see jail-time being doled out to whomever would break and enter. Detractors of the project have been considering other ways to interfere with the project.

Why do Kekistanis conflict with the project?

The people of Kekistan are currently in a part-conflict with the He Will Not Divide Us project for humorous purposes, alongside trolls who also want to interrupt Shia’s protests. The Kekistani people love a challenge, so when someone sets up a public camera for their specific message, or hides a flag and declares it a political protest, it is a natural inclination for an average Kekistani to see it as a challenge, proceeding to disrupt such action as much as they can; particularly when the message itself is contradictory. By stating “He will not divide us”, the protest itself is steeped in an “us VS them” mentality out of the gate (between Trump supporters and Clinton supporters), which is a mentality that Kekistani citizens detest. Not only that, but to take it away from the public shows no faith in the message, and to then relocate it to the United Kingdom shows that you have ultimately been divided by an entire ocean.

Shia in turn has attacked those he’s opposed verbally and sometimes physically, including Kekistani citizens who took the challenge. The current relationship is that the HWNDI project is actively attempting to harm the Kekistani people who try to mess with the project, while the Kekistani people simply laugh at the entire situation. This isn’t to say that the Kekistani people involved aren’t breaking petty laws in messing with the project, but that their actions are not malicious.

The entire situation has left Shia in a very disturbed state of mind, having frequently freaked out at innocent people over the most minor of issues. In one episode, he turned up drunk to a bowling alley, and when he was refused service, screamed that the server was racist for not selling him french fries.

While this entire situation is hardly a massive integral conflict, it is perhaps one of the most representative conflicts for the Kekistani mindset and motives. It shows the endurance and excessive measures to track down such a flag, which is typical for a Kekistani citizen. But it also shows the trickster motives of the Kekistani people themselves.
